Review by Ric Otte for Ventamatic CX14IBALBLK Superior Internally Braced Aluminum Wind Turbine
Rating:
Within one or two months of installing this vent it began make very loud squeaking noises. This surprised me, because I have had a similar but different brand vent for years that is still silent. I called Ventamatic and they said there was nothing I could do except grease it. I installed this correctly (level, etc.) and am very disappointed that I may have to regularly grease it. I strongly suggest you not buy this, but look for one with sealed bearings, unless you like greasing these things. On the phone Ventamatic told me they do not make any vents like this with sealed bearings, so I think you should look at a different brand. If it weren’t for the squeaking problem, I’d be very happy with it.
